The clear, blue spring water provides a stark contrast to the dark, tannin-stained Santa Fe River. Tall trees (some over 500 years old) provide plenty of shade throughout the property. They provide a beautiful setting for camping, hiking or just plain relaxing. As much as possible, Ginnie Springs Outdoors has left the grounds exactly as they were when the native Timouquan and other tribes used the area for hunting, fishing and extracting flint from the Santa Fe River; leaving the trees, water and animal life much as they appeared to the first European explorers in the early 1500s.
