Dive
Rite's 905 drysuit is made from butyl rubber, a material that is
inherently waterproof and keeps you warm and dry. The butyl is
laminated between layers of polyester to reduce the risk of
punctures and abrasion. Shell seams are ultrasonically welded,
making the shell one solid piece, and the seam stronger than the
shell itself.
All drysuits come with two thigh pockets that are permanently
affixed to the dry suit. Internal suspenders help ensure better
fit and hold the suit up when wearing it around the waist to
cool off on the surface. The inflation valve rotates 360
degrees, so you can mount your inflator hose on either side. The
latex neck and wrist seals have added thickness, providing
exceptional resistance to tearing and other damage. For
additional puncture and abrasion resistance, there are thick,
protective patches on the knees, elbows, and other areas that
may encounter increased wear. The heavy-duty boots are insulated
for greater comfort and warmth and feature a '"low-profile"'
design, enabling them to fit most standard fins.
The
905 shell is made from butyl rubber - a core material that is,
by itself, inherently waterproof. This is laminated with layers
of polyester that add additional puncture and abrasion
resistance, and the ability to stretch along with the core
material. The EX905 Dry Suit is manufactured from
Parmasoft™ without puncturing the material when seaming. They
have HF-welded seams to make them 100% water and gas tight.
